Come Learn About Kārearea
Our Centre Tours for 2026 will be held during advocacy season, between the months of February - May.
These one-hour Centre Tours are aimed at raising awareness about New Zealand’s only endemic bird of prey, the Kārearea/NZ Falcon, the threats they face, and how to support our goal of restoring kārearea populations in the wild.
The tour includes an educational talk about both the falcons and the work we carry out here at the Kārearea Falcon Trust, followed by a walk-through of our aviary. It provides you with a chance to learn about and view some of the resident falcons in our care.
Depending on numbers and weather conditions - the educational talk may either be held inside The Nest (our education space) or outdoors under gazebos.
