PARI

MALE | Arrived December 2018

  • Hatched in 2018 from parents Aroha and Hamden, up at Wingspan in Rotorua.

Pari arrived here at the Kārearea Falcon Trust alongside another male sibling in December 2018.

Due to our higher numbers of female falcons with long term injuries, we often need males to pair up with the females to help with breeding. Rather than have an injured female waiting for an injured male who may possibly never arrive, we are lucky to have the introduction of falcons like Pari who not only provide genetic diversity but give our females a much wanted mate.

Pari was paired up with injured female Jenny in June 2019, they have since laid several clutches of eggs with the first fertile eggs laid in 2023.

Jenny and Pari's first chick was released to the wild in early 2024.
