ROCKY

MALE | Arrived JANUARY 2013

  • In December 2012 Rocky had been found in the Rakaia Gorge with a badly injured right wing, which unfortunately had to be amputated.

After starting his rehabilitation in Christchurch, Rocky joined us here in Marlborough at the Kārearea Falcon Trust in January of 2013, to continue his rehabilitation and to further recover.

Rocky was named by our previous aviary manager Diana Dobson, because he came from the ‘Rocky’ Rakaia Gorge.

Rocky is currently part of our breeding program, partnered with one of our females called Maia.
