Koha’s parents sadly killed her sibling soon after it hatched, to keep her safe Koha was rescued as an egg and raised by our manager Holly.

Koha is a very loud, bold, and curious young bird who is going to become one of our newest advocacy falcons - with the hope of training her for flying demonstrations to inspire visitors.

Her name means “gift” in Te Reo, she truly is a gift after the tragic loss of her sibling and the surprise of her hatching (her egg had tested twice as “infertile” on our digital egg reader!).
