Norm was a chick from our breeding pair Dash and Wilson.

Raised by his parents, Norm was due to be released with his female sibling into the Waihopai Valley.

Sadly he broke his leg, and due to complications in the healing process, he was unable to be released to the wild.

Norm entered into our breeding program after bonding with our female Tussock. They have successfully raised 19 chicks together since 2016, all of these chicks have all been released to the wild.

Norm was named by the owner of Crafer and Crouch, who generously donated man-power, equipment and big machinery when we were expanding our aviary to accommodate all the rescued falcons, chicks and breeding pairs.
