Private Tours

Our Private Tours for 2025 will be held on Fridays, starting 11:00am , between the months of February - May.

The Private Tour will give you a more up close and personal viewing of our rehabilitation and breed-for-release centre at the Kārearea Falcon Trust.

During your one hour Private Tour you'll enjoy a small group experience with a knowledgeable member of staff to learn about these amazing falcons and the work we do. This includes an educational talk about both the falcons and the work we carry out here at the Kārearea Falcon Trust, followed by a guided tour of our aviary.

Private Tour visitors may be offered the opportunity for a Falcon Encounter*.  These encounters will give you the chance to enter our advocacy enclosure safely with a member of staff and experience a falcon landing on your gloved hand.

Truly an up close and unforgettable experience. 

*Falcon Encounters are always subject to the health, wellbeing and willingness of the advocacy falcon on the day. Encounters incur an additional charge, payable on the day only. Prices by enquiry only.

$50 for Adults

$30 for Children (5-16yrs) 

Children under 5 free 

Minimum 2 people - maximum 6 people
