Bill

MALE | Arrived May 2022 | Rehabilitation in progress

  • Saturday 4th May, Bill was found injured on the ground after hitting a house window on Old Renwick Road, Marlborough. He suffered a concussion and had snapped the end of his beak off, preventing him from eating without help.

Bill was placed in an ICU brooder to reduce shock and cared for around the clock by Holly until his condition stabilised. An x-ray at Springlands Vet confirmed he luckily had no other broken bones or internal damage.

Bill’s beak is growing back and we are gradually trimming and shaping it. The aim is that his beak returns to tip top shape so he will able to hunt and therefore can be released back to the wild.

Bill was named by our manager Holly Turner, due to his ‘bill/beak’ injury.
