Kārearea adoptions are a special way to help support the restoration efforts of these incredible falcons, creating a lasting impact and helping them thrive for future generations.

Kārearea are made available for adoption for a 12 month period, the proceeds of these adoptions go towards the costs of food, veterinary care, breeding programmes and maintenance of enclosures.

When you purchase a Bronze level adoption you will receive -

  • A named certificate of adoption for your falcon.

  • A written profile on your chosen falcon, including facts and images relating to their known history.

  • An A5 printed image of your chosen falcon.

  • Cute and cuddly kārearea soft toy that when squeezed, will make the call of a kārearea

  • Voucher for two people to attend one of our public Centre Tours.

  • Your name will be proudly displayed on your chosen kārearea’s aviary for the duration of your adoption.

  • You will also receive acknowledgment on both social media and our website.

Silver level adoptions will also include,

  • Voucher for four people or a family to attend one of our public Centre Tours.

  • A selection of greeting cards created by supporting artist Indigo Wise.

Gold level adoptions will also include,

  • Voucher for four people or a family to attend one of our public Centre Tours.

  • A selection of greeting cards created by supporting artist Indigo Wise.

  • For gold level adoption only, you’ll receive the opportunity for an up-close encounter with one of our advocacy kārearea. Holding a falcon on the glove truly is a special experience, you’ll have the chance to get your photo taken to ensure the moment will be unforgettable!
