How It Works
12-Month Term: Adopt a resident kārearea for one full year.
First Right of Renewal: Renew your adoption before it expires and becomes available to the public.

Purchasing Your Adoption
Head over to our online shop to view which falcons are available for adoption and at which level, add them to your cart, complete your purchase, and a member of our staff will be in touch about your adoption.
Adoption confers no legal ownership. All falcons at the Kārearea Falcon Trust are held under licence from the Department of Conservation (DOC).
The Adopt a Falcon donation programme was revised in August 2026 and is effective for all adoptions from this time.
